Hi, my name is Ashley Anderson. I began using essential oils in June 2015. At first I was very skeptical if essential oils were worth the investment. But my husband and I were ready for a change and needed healing. I purchased a premium starter kit from Young Living and right away we were amazed at the results. I use oils every day in our home, on my children and pets. I'm so glad I gave them a chance. They were a game changer for my family!
I'm a hair stylist by trade and the consistent standing and bending over 10 years, going through 2 pregnancies and 3 car accidents was taking a tole on my body. To say I was ready for a life style change was putting it lightly. I was very tired, in pain and emotionally worn out. Once I began using the oils on a daily basis, I began to see how they were supporting our goals of natural health and this was very exciting for us. I’m excited to be oiling up my home and family with safe and healthy products. As a mommy I have been striving to find ways to support my 2 babies and their little developing immune systems and essential oils have been the answer for me. We have been diffusing oils both my children’s room at night to support a calming environment and help support respiratory health. It thrills my mommy heart to see my son and daughter happy and thriving! My passion continues to grow stronger as I have seen how they have been so beneficial in my family’s life and I want to share with my friends and family so they can experience it too. We are in love with our oils and the way that they support our natural living. I am motivated to share with others how these oils may also support their goals of a healthy lifestyle. As a wife and mommy, I have confidence that others in the same situation will fall in love with them too! My website is www.HopeWithEssentialOils.com. I choose that name because I want people to know that there is hope. God put plants on this earth to help us, and that's what essential oils are here for. I also have a strong passion to help wounded and disabled veterans. My husband served in the Army and is now a disabled vet. So many of our veterans are slipping though the cracks or giving up on their situation. I have seen the amazing changes in my husband with using essential oils and I want to share them with other vets. I wouldn't say that I have a perfect customer. I feel that everyone can benefit from using essential oils.

Nursing Mothers Counsel (NMC) was founded in Palo Alto in 1955 by a group of women who breastfed their children at a time when there was a lack of accurate information and support for breastfeeding. These moms decided to form an organization to provide free counseling and support to new moms on a one-to-one basis, helping these moms feed their infants with the best and most natural food in an era when formula and bottles were the “modern” way to feed babies. NMC continues with the same philosophy today.
The organization was originally called Nursing Mothers Anonymous, but a few years later became known as Nursing Mothers Counsel. The NMC members felt that mothers needed advice and encouragement to learn to breastfeed. They believed it was up to the mother when to stop breastfeeding, and that the mother could easily fit breastfeeding into her active life. At that time obstetricians and pediatricians in the community from San Francisco through Santa Clara Counties turned to NMC for breastfeeding advice. NMC served as their resource until lactation departments became part of their hospitals in the late 1980s. Many doctors continue to refer moms to NMC for free breastfeeding support. our missionThe mission of Nursing Mothers Counsel is to support the personal breastfeeding goals of mothers with free, one-on-one assistance and education by highly trained volunteer counselors who have also breastfed. our core valuesWe are committed to offering free breastfeeding counseling, including home visits when necessary, judgment-free and client-based assistance, help to mothers seven days a week, training for our volunteers, training of professionals, help to a nursing mother throughout her breastfeeding experience, and free informational pamphlets. our scope of practiceNMC volunteer counselors are not medical professionals and do not diagnose or treat medical conditions, or give medical advice. The services provided by NMC counselors are not a substitute for examination, diagnosis or treatment by a physician, IBCLC or other medical specialist. NMC counselors are trained to make appropriate referrals whenever a contact’s condition falls outside the range of normal breastfeeding challenges. If a contact refuses to consult a medical professional, the NMC volunteer will terminate their relationship rather than continue to provide counseling services in lieu of proper medical attention. Nursing Mothers Counsel volunteer counselors are individuals who successfully complete the following requirements:

Founder and Lead Trainer at Yogilachi Fitness Studio is a holistic life schooling mom of two boys 7 and 10, Stephana Johnson was born in the Southwest heading off to NYC at 16 to pursue acting. She spent the next 20 years living on both coasts - NY and LA with a few stops in between.
In the early 90s, a film project brought her to Portland where she fell in love with the green and mountains. Twenty years later, her husband Kelly and their two boys Ryder and Dax call Vancouver home. While in NY pursuing acting and modeling, she apprenticed under a top personal fitness trainer and that began her career in the health and fitness industry. Acting and auditioning by day, personal training by morning and night, she built a thriving personal training and coaching business and started Yogilachi in 1998 coining the word from her 3 favorite forms of movement - yoga, Pilates and tai chi. Dedicated to helping clients take back control of their body and their life from the inside out, empowering them with the tools to make lasting changes, Stephana is a master personal trainer (over 5000 hours) and certified in over 63 modalities including the most recent, Postural and Mobility Specialist and has helped 1000s achieve their health and fitness goals. She still loves to sink her emotional teeth into an excellent acting role like the lead role she filmed in “Lily on Saturday”, an independent feature shot here in the NW and which should be released in late 2016. “My faith, my family and my service are the 3 pillars my life is built on. We home/life school our boys, they’ve been with me every step of the way. They’ve seen the amazing changes someone can make by a choice. They understand the difference between - I can’t and I choose not to - something I feel we all must embrace. “Change is indeed tough, but when we are clear about what is truly important to us, it’s much easier to make the right choice. If good health is more important than the choice to cut down on the thing that is not supporting our health, it simplifies the problem. Once we get clear on what we do want to improve we can get the right support for that. Getting real support and tools rather than seeking a quick fix is what’s necessary - not just in health and fitness but in life today.” Stephana will be speaking at the Well Mama 2016 festival on the 5 Steps To Revitalizing Your Life & Achieving Your Health & Fitness Goals (Even with kiddos)! My journey to this point has been a long one full of ups and downs, not knowing what I truly want to do, but still having big dreams all at the same time. My ultimate dream is to be part of the US dressage team at the Olympics.
Currently, I am a stay at home mom that cares for a very active one year old boy named Sunny. He is a very sunny and brilliant personality, but also frustratingly strong willed at times. Determined is also a good description. I do the best I can in-between times with helping others and educating them on the toxic ingredients found in most products we use everyday. Help them become ingredient detectives so they can feel empowered and in control of what they are choosing to buy. In doing this, I hope to start a trend of replenishing health that will affect future generations. Who are you as a business?
We are a team of midwives and Naturopathic doctors offering home and water birth in SW Washington. Who are you as a business owner? Angela Beach-Hart, LM, CPM: Angela Beach-Hart became a doula in 2006 but was initially brought to working in the birth community through her massage practice. She saw the amazing benefits of massage throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum and soon found herself attending births as a doula. She decided to continue her career and became a midwife after graduating from midwifery school in 2013 at Birthingway College of Midwifery. She became a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and Licensed Direct Entry Midwife (LDM) in Oregon and a Licensed Midwife(LM) in the state of Washington. She gave birth to a sweet baby girl in April 2013 and even though she knew a lot about pregnancy and birth before going through it herself, she believes the experience has made her a better practioner in many ways. Although she has a lot of passion for homebirth she also enjoy working in the hospital as a doula and believes every woman has the right to choose how and where they want to birth. She uses her skills as a massage therapist to help make pregnancy, labor, and postpartum as manageable as possible and uses the skills she has learned as a midwife to help provide resources and education along the way! She loves supporting women and families through this amazing rite of passage and her heart goes into bringing education and support to those who need it. She looks forward to helping you along your journey! Adeline Kell, LM, ND: Dr. Adeline Kell is a Naturopathic physician and Midwife, licensed in both Oregon and Washington. Graduating from the four-year program at the National College of Natural Medicine, she also completed a two-year apprenticeship in midwifery and pediatrics and has had advanced training in homeopathy and botanical medicine. Dr. Adeline provides family naturopathic care, offering complete pediatric and women’s health services. She focuses on nutrition, homeopathy and botanical medicine to support optimum health in her patients. She sees patients in SW Washington in a beautiful and family friendly office centrally located just off I-5 in Woodland. Adeline shares not only her talented healing skills, but also her warm-hearted personal philosophy with every patient she has the privilege of helping. A driving force in Adeline’s practice is her commitment to spending enough time with each patient to understand his or her unique characteristics, symptoms and needs. Adeline lives on seven acres in SW Washington with her husband, their six children, and an assortment of two and four legged creatures. Alexandra Demetro, LM, ND: Dr. Alexandra Demetro is an ND & Midwife. Growing up with Finnish roots in the country hills of Battle Ground, WA, Alexandra formed a love of nature, herbs, and learned how to take the natural route with preventative health. It’s no wonder she came back to her roots and has a natural health clinic in Battle Ground where she see all ages and treat all kinds of conditions with mostly herbs, nutrition, and lifestyle changes. She does use prescription medications when necessary. Alexandra has been assisting in births since 1999 and graduated from the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, OR as a Naturopathic Doctor (ND) in 2002. Before that she graduated from Western WA University with a degree in PreMedicine and Psychology. She is also a licensed Midwife (LM), and is trained in neonatal resuscitation, IV therapy, suturing, and vaccinations. She also does Women’s annual exams, IUD’s, bio-identical hormone treatments, tests for food allergies, does blood work-ups, and more. One aspect of her practice that she deeply enjoys is being able to get to know her patients from day one as their midwife, then as their pediatrician, and continuing care to keep the whole family healthy as their family doctor. She loved having her daughters Isabella (2002) and Lucia (2007) born naturally at home and hopes to offer similar experiences to you too! How did you choose the name and logo for your business? Are name represents exactly what we do! We serve families through pregnancy and birth, through baby care and beyond! Meaning that since we have ND's in our practice, care doesn't have to end at 6 weeks. We offer pediatrics and whole family care. What do you hope to do for the community where you operate? One of our main goals is to offer more options for families in Clark county! There are plenty of home birth midwives in Portland, but for some that can be a long drive and not super convenient! Families in SW Washington also deserve birthing options. Home birth is not for everyone, but everyone should have the choice to have that option. What have you done for your community? We have given families in SW Washington another birthing option. There are few home birth midwives who serve this area and who also have an office in the area. What do you hope that everyone who meets you understands about your business? We are a team of three midwives that work together. Although we are all similar in some ways and give similar care, each midwife bring something different to the practice and we believe our clients benefit from this. If you had the perfect client/customer/patient, who would they be? Low risk women, who are passionate about where and how they give birth. We also love serving large families. It is so fun to continue to stay in our clients lives as their family grows! Cloud Chiropractic is a branded vendor! |
