So where does all that money go? Fair question! WellMama is a wellness festival that supports the Clark County Breastfeeding Coalition. The vendor fees go toward paying for the event space- and we have broken even on the event space today! I am beyond thrilled for the more than ten vendors we'll have at the event. Each vendor has something substantial to offer the event just by virtue of their presence! I'm processing registrations and find myself getting more and more excited in anticipation of the event. We have an excellent list of speakers and breakout sessions- all free for the attendees! To raise funds for the Coalition, we will have a raffle table. Attendees can buy tickets to enter to win all sorts of fabulous prizes. Unitus and New Seasons have made donations of afabulous wine basket and a grocery gift card, respectively. Hopefully, we will raise enough money for the CCBC to be able to flourish- running events and programs in support of breastfeeding and motherhood in Clark County without having to rely on donation after donation from its volunteers, which has been the case for the past couple of years, unfortunately. Last year's goal of $250 was exceeded when we raised $400 for the CCBC! This year, I think we can raise $500, no problem! Let's do this!
